Paul would not allow anything to rob himself of his joy. In our passage today we find that he understood that he had to keep his focus. There is always room for growth when it comes to the life of the believer. Paul understood that fact and he wanted all to move forward in their         understanding of salvation.

Father’s Day is a time we honor those who invested and provided for us. Today we want to say thank you to our fathers. We want to see some examples from Scripture of fathers who set the proper atmosphere for their home. We want to challenge all fathers to be the spiritual strength of their homes.

The Bible describes for us heroes. These heroes are greatly different from the type of hero we focus on today. As Paul was looking for someone who would exhibit the mind of Christ, he uses a priceless pair. We want to examine the qualities Paul points out of someone who has the mind of Christ.

Paul is dealing with individuals. The great example for all of us is Christ. He now turns to our testimony and how we respond to the job God has given to us. We are both to speak the message to others and to live in light of God’s Word.
